On Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, in Royal Oak, a city who never entered an agreement with ICE, Emerxon was taken by the CBP. Why? Because a police officer from the RODP called CBP to turn Emerxon in. The snag? Emerxon is a legal resident, with no criminal record, and he didn’t commit any traffic violation. The police officer pulled him and his family over for an allegedly expired license plate tab. But their tag was good until April 2026. Yes, you got it: Emerxon has been racially profiled, and now he is in ICE custody, away from his wife and their child. If you can donate towards his legal fees and support his family while he is not there to provide for them, please do not hesitate. It is much needed.

On Monday 26th, 2026, during the RO city commissioners meeting, We the People Dissent standing alongside Royal Oak residents demanded that the police officer responsible for causing so much harm be suspended.
