We the People Dissent is an Indivisible non-violent group of US citizens & US residents from Detroit and the Metro Detroit area who unite to defend our constitutional rights under the presidency of Donald J. Trump and push back against the damaging, cruel, and undemocratic anti-American policies that the President wants to force onto our country and nation.

The Black Lives Matter movement and all peaceful actions aiming at putting an end to systemic racism; Women’s Rights; Reproductive Freedom; Immigrants’ Rights; LGBTQ+’s Rights; Workers’ Rights; Progressive Taxation; Wage Ceiling; Corporate Money out of Politics; Universal Healthcare; Academic Research; Sustainable Future; Degrowth; Climate Action; Environmental Protection; Environmental Justice; Social Justice; Affordable Housing; Public Transportation; Prison Reform.

What are our goals?

1.Defeat the Trump regime

-Build a Resistance community among Detroiters to ensure efficiency in protesting and calling out elected officials. 

-Support progressive and feisty legislators.

-Apply uninterrupted pressure on defective Democrats and ring-kissing Republicans.

-Ensure our constitutional rights remain untouched.

-Work towards impeachment and removal from office.

2.Educate and bring awareness about the political opportunities every citizen has access to to make a difference. 

3. Foster a community of members who feel valued for their activist achievements and empowered by their civic engagement for our Democracy.

4. Push for social justice change and urgent climate action. Ride the wave of national awakening to get bigger wins on these two fronts.
