Despite all the terrible news, I feel surprisinly good. I hope you are having some sort of a break too. There are a few reasons for this good mood, but the main one, I believe, is the general feeling that the tide has now shifted and that the regime is no longer in anyone’s good books, inside or outside the country, and not even in maga’s. Was great, must say, to hear Fox News declare that even illegal immigrants are not beyond the scope of (that) compassion (direct quote). Warning! Seriously Feel Good Video! I give it 1 Yummy 🍒(one only because it’s Fox News, one cannot push it too far).
I think that the new pages released from the Epstein Files, where we can see one powerful person after one powerful person fall, is also the source of my happy mood. Honestly, at this point, I cracked a bag of popcorns open and I am watching. Oh! The great and the good, struggling in the morass where they belong! If you want to take action on this, 🧡Jean🧡 has a neat suggestion: Call Peters and Slotkin and ask they demand an investigation for every allegation against Trump involving him harming children.
Another delicious treat this week was the liberation of Liam (AKA the toddler with the blue bunny hat) and his father, and the ruling by Judge Biery in Texas, whose wit is explained by the NYT. Both are earning a 4 Yummies 🍒 🍒 🍒 🍒 . It lighted up my day on Tuesday, and I hope it will yours today!
Last but not least, the lastest news from the Grammys, with Bad GOOD Bunny, Lachi, and his Holiness the 14th Dalaï-Lama are the cherries on top. I have been listening to the 3 of them since Sunday. Have you?

Contact your Members of Congress and demand they vote no on any DHS funding bill unless, at a minimum, it:
- Pulls ICE and Border Patrol out of Minneapolis and the rest of our communities
- Prevents ICE or Border Patrol enforcement at designated “sensitive locations” such as houses of worship, day cares, and hospitals
- Restricts ICE and Border Patrol’s ability to target people based on their race, language or accent, place of employment, or location at the time of the apprehension
- Ends the administration’s unlawful practice of warrantless home entry and arrests

2/ On Friday 2/6, with a few of us, we will meet with Chief of Police Moore from Royal Oak who has updates for the community regarding the arrest on January 21st of Emerxon, a Venezuelan legal resident by CBP. The problem? CBP was called by a Royal Oak police officer who stopped Emerxon on the base of an allegedly expired license plate tab.
Emerxon’s partner has been able to talk with him everyday. But her situation is very precarious. Without the financial help that me and my partner were able to provide to her, she was going to lose her apartment. Emerxon is not here anymore to bring income to their household and she has a young child to support. Moreover, Emerxon’s minimum legal costs have been set at $6,500. On the fundraiser we started, we have raised $370 so far, meaning that we are $6,130 away from our goal and the clock is ticking. If you are in a position of making a donation, please do not hesitate. A HUGE HUG to the 8 donors!
An attorney from Pleasant Ridge contacted us a few days ago to report the same issue happened in their town. The community over there is writing a resolution that they graciously offered to share with us, to be used in Royal Oak. More to come on this…
3/Hopefully MI will soon pass laws to unmask ICE. We continue to call. Thanks 🧡Jean🧡 for bringing it back on our radar. It’s not a done deal. Call your State Senator (https://senate.michigan.gov/senators/all-senators/) to demand they support the bills: 508 prohibiting ice near schools, hospitals, courthouse, and more. 509 some data protected from ice. 510 masks not allowed for ice.

5/Our community is organizing big time. In the last week, we have seen hundreds of people swarming meetings and protests, lots of new faces (and a lot of new subscribers to the Bulletin – Welcome everyone!!). As we discussed during our meeting last night, and as 🧡Ari🧡 pointed out, it is likely that ICE will be used for intimidation at the polls. 🧡Jerry🧡 suggested that we get more informed on voting rights and redistricting with Marc Elias and the Democracy Docket. T. also suggested the federal government should take over Michigan elections and State Senator and gubernatorial hopeful Aric Nesbitt eagerly fell in line, saying he is 100% with the P. 🧡Christy🧡 and 🧡Sean🧡, as many of you, reported that the Americans for Citizen Voting collected enough signatures to put their bulls*** on the ballot. That’s bad. The good news? We received info that the collectors have broken the law. Instead of gathering signatures in-person, witnessing every single signature, they MAILED the petition. We have report of at least one person who received it. If you have received the ACV petition and request to sign it via mail, please email pictures or info to 🧡Sean🧡 at info@ofbyforusa.org. Also, please share this information widely.
