3/5/26

Dear members of the American Resistance,

The planning for No Kings 3 is in full swing. Can you:

-donate/lend supplies (sound equipment, radios, water, snacks, canopies, foldable chairs, foldable tables, wagons, craft for signs and kids’ activities)

-pass water and snacks the day of

-be a peacekeeper the day of (your job will be to keep an eye out and report if you notice an incident)

-be an active responder, such as a medic or a de-escalator

-attend the online training on March 18th, 8-9PM know your rights with Indivisible > Register here.

-drive your car on the day of to close/open the march

-help set the sound, tables, respite hub, and kids’ tent the day of.

-donate $10 or anything you can to help with the cost of stage and sound equipment rental for which we now have pricing: $5,500! And that doesn’t even include porta-john rentals…. Please make a donation on our ActBlue page. No activist I know of is rolling in money, and without your generosity, we won’t be able to afford stage, sound, and porta-johns.

Breaking news:

Kristi Noem is OUT. Bon débarras !!! Will we get “someone” worse? Possibly. But first let’s rejoice that she will be soon a nobody (noem>nemo>no one in greek).

The war in Iran adds more victims to the long list of those in the Epstein files. And yet there will never be enough corpses to bury them. Some decent analysis of why now here. And many complaints reported to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation from deployed military personel who are told the war in Iran is a biblical crusade. Multiple protests in the next days and weeks to oppose the war. Please see the calendar of events below.

The House passed the DHS Funding bill (221-209) The 4 traitors are: Henry Cuellar (Texas), Don Davis (N.C.), Jared Golden (Maine), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Wash.).

Lovely news:

Please take a minute to read or listen to the wonderful poem, making visible the indivisible, that Jim shared during our last corner protest. It is a RARE GEM.

Enjoy unfiltered truth brought to you by one of our friends in Romulus.

Brainy news:

On the Data Center front, resistance is needed more than ever.

Jump to action:

1/Speak out against tracking MI residents.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) approved the placement of Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on state land in Michigan. CBP then contacts local law enforcement to make traffic stops that lead to CBP arrests. Please follow Michigan Immigration Resource Center’s guidance:

Use this link to learn more and please contact the MDOT Director to demand that the agreement be rescinded:
MDOT Director: Bradley Wieferich
MDOT Office Phone: 517-241-2400
Director Inquiries Email: PooleE@Michigan.gov
“Hi, my name is [First Name Last Name], and I am a resident of [City/Township]. I am calling to express my objection to the approval of ALPR cameras for Customs and Border Protection on state land. This agreement raises privacy and security concerns for MI residents, directs state and local resources for federal immigration enforcement, and leads to further separation of Michigan families. I urge you to rescind MDOT’s agreement with CBP. Thank you.” A million thanks to 🧡Linda D.🧡 for putting this call to action together. 🐸

If you want to get some insights about this issue, 🧡Mary🧡 wrote a remarkable article that can be found hereI Called It: From Rest Area Rules to Criminalizing Survival

2/ Whether you are an Oakland county resident or not, please write to the CLEMIS using this toolkit, which has the email template. County leaders have said they support ending the CLEMIS contract with ICE. The contract expires 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟑𝟏. Now we make sure it is 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐝. Be in the lookout on social medias for the ICE out of OC collective to call for the next “pack the room” meeting on Thursday mornings at 10 AM at 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥

7525 Highland Road, White Lake, MI 48383. My guess is next Thursday 3/5.

3/We keep the pressure on our Senators to defund ICE: please feel free to use Indivisible call and email tools to do so.

4/ Please consider filling out the “Rise Higher Detroit” survey hosted by the mayor’s transition office to identify city priorities. It will close soon. It’s anonymous and offers folks who live in the city an opportunity to weigh in on community justice, support, and policing policies that impact our work. Thank you 🧡Hildegard🧡 for putting it on our radar! 🐸
